Upcoming Closing 07.31.2014

Black 13 will be closing at 5:00pm on Saturday, August 2nd and will be closed Monday, August 4 - Thursday, August 7. We will not have access to email or voicemail during our closing. Emails and booking forms will be responded to as quickly as possible beginning Friday, August 8.

A little rest and relaxation 01.21.2014

We will be taking a little time off to enjoy some much needed vacation time in Colorado January 27th through February 1st. While Jay and Steve will be working by appointment only, the shop will be closed during this time. Please note that we will not have access to emails, booking forms, or voicemail. LIVE is a special event to help support those living with cancer. Black 13 Tattoo artists are preparing sheets of pre-designed tattoo images for customers to choose from. Some of the designs will have cancer survival themes. Each tattoo has a $100 minimum donation, with 100% of the proceeds going to the cause. Get to know Ryan Thomas

Ryan joined the B13 family in 2010 by way of Toledo Ohio. Though he’s been tattooing for 6 years, it’s been a great pleasure to watch him blossom not only into a fine young man, but really develop as a artist over these last few years. Josh grew up in Alpena Michigan and relocated to Buffalo NY in 99 where he apprenticed under Tattoo Don at Nickel City Tattoo. Get to know Marty “Riet” McEwen! 06.05.2013

Our beloved Marty is named after country singer Marty Robbins and grew up just outside of Nashville in LaVergne TN. Marty’s interest in tattooing led him here because he was a fan of Josh Woods illustrated artwork and he ended up apprenticing under Josh here at Black 13 in 2008. As his apprenticeship came to a close, he started tattooing full time with us in 2010. Marty’s art background revolves heavily around graffiti where he gets to bring his amazing illustrations to life on large canvases and outdoor walls. When a customer calls, emails, or stops in, we work with them individually to understand their needs and determine the artist best suited for them. New booking process for Josh Woods 06.12.2012

As of June 11th, we are implementing a new system for scheduling with Black 13 artist Josh Woods. He now has a online form to handle his scheudling. This form will gather all the information we need for booking and if Josh is able to take on the idea, this system will assign each customer to a waiting list. We are no longer able to schedule Josh through email or phone and ask that you fill out the online form to inquire about booking.
